Its been awhile since I have blogged atleast here, I have done blogging on my website http://www.hope4acure09.com/ I found myself driven to a path of raising awareness as well as donations to help cancer victims and their families as well as CHD patients and their families primarily, yet keeping my heart and mind open that at times there will be others who may need lifting up from time to time and I am more than willing to help them as well. God has prepared me well as said in Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Now, I read that over and over. That verse was first told to me by a couple of Dear friends whom I encourage you to let touch your heart, Marie @spreadingJoy and Richard @mcprodigal on twitter they or on facebook Richard is here>Richard on FB and Marie is here>Marie on FB, I met them online during a dark dark time, my world was crumbling around me and they reminded me of that verse. I promise you God has prepared me more than I possible imagined.So, I started my website and decided that by helping others it would help me and because of my past, there are so many things I can associate with in helping others that while helping others, at the same time, I am healing my heartache as well, but first n foremost helping others helps me! If I can make 1 person smile or feel better by doing something for them, then I feel as if I have done just as it is said in Ephesians 2:10. I will, update this blog again soon, thanks for visiting. A blog full of confused thoughts and heartache.
.Nothing worth doing is completed in our lifetime,
Therefore, we are saved by hope.
Nothing true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history;

Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone.

As I write this blog to be honest I don't know where to begin.
Several month ago through twitter I met a family the Potvin family.
on twitter I know them as @LiftupEllie. Ellie is a beautifull talented brave 8 yr old struct by the beast we call cancer. It was just a few months ago I watched a video of Ellie up in her hospital bed playing with friends even playing hide n seek it was a beautiful site. And now Ellie is at home with her family her lungs now overtaken with tumors and a tumor on her hip that ruptured a few days ago. But You see if any of you have experienced Ellie, you know that Ellie is not your average 8 yr old. Ellie is brave, Ellie loves Jesus, Ellie is NOT affraid of Heaven But Ellie is a fighter. Just yesterday she bravely told her mom as I spend hours following both @LiftupEllie as well as her mom @AmyPotvin her mom tweeted that Ellie kissed her arms n said to her mom "don't worry I'm tough! I sit right now as I did most the night with a candle lit to honor Ellie and let her know just how much she is loved. The last time I signed Ellies guestbook on her journal I told her I was NOT going to say goodbye...I was saying untill we meet again. For this place here earth its only our temporary home...HEAVEN now HEAVEN that is our forever home and we will all meet again.Oh and I did ask her for a couple of small favors..to say hellp to my son Shane and my great nephew Jacob n tell them I love em. I know Ellie she will do that for me because thats the person she is. So still lost I just needed to say that stuff about Ellie. By the way Ellie has a twin sister Grace, her mom is Amy, her dad Tim. Say a prayer for all of them and pray for Ellie as she is getting her wings to Fly away to HOME where Jesus waits for her.

A day in my life as HOPE4ACURE
Well, this is my first blog, so be patient with me. Where to start...
Ok, so Prettty much I come from your normal every day average family. We have our ups n downs, and we work through them but as a whole life is good.
Then came 2002 my mom Gertie, who today is 84, in 2002 we heard the word nobody wants to hear CANCER! Mom had breast cancer. Feburary 14th 2002 mom had a mastectomy and began her chemo n radiation, and though she went through all the expected side effects. Thank God it was successful. One month to the day mom was diagnosed we again heard that ugly word CANCER this time my sister Jenny, exactly a month to the day after mom was diagnosed, again chemo-radiation and success. Time passed, all was well, so we thought..mom got sick and was admitted to the hospital..again that word CANCER this time LUNG...Mom sat us down and said "i don't want to upset you kids, BUT I'm almost 80 yrs old. I've been blessed with a beautiful family and a great life. I will take the chemo, BUT, I
am NOT taking the radiation this time. It makes me weak, n sick n I'm down in bed and IF it is my time to go, I don't want to be sick, I want to enjoy my time with my family. I am putting my trust in the Lord." She said, "If it is my time to go, I've had a great life. I am putting this in the LORDS HANDS!" Praise the Lord as I write this today mom is CANCER FREE 8 yrs now and so is my sister.
So I have been involved with the American Cancer Society/Relay For Life/Hancock County, Illinois. On twitter you can find me tweeting about mom n praying for others with cancer I am @HOPE4ACURE09 my personal twitter is @Brenda_Northway on facebook I am so proud that along with a dear friend we made a fan page HOPE4ACURE I welcome all of you reading this to become a fan, share your stories and support each other. Together we can beat this disease.
