Many on you don't know me, Some of you do, BUT THIS IS MY HERO- MY MOM
I am sending you pics of the beautiful afghans my mom crocheted and these are only 2 of many! Mom is my hero! A little about my mama, her life started out being born in a boxcar in Edwardsville, KS, as a young girl she had problems with her ears and had repeated surgeries, by the time all was said and done at the age of 16 she was totally deaf in one ear and only minimal hearing in the other ear. Later she met my father they then moved to Illinois in 1946 and that has been home every since. In her younger yrs she also contacted rabbit fever which left her very ill, And even more when I was an infant had it NOT been for her- I would NOT be here today to share this story and do this work. Our family had a terrible house fire, my loving sweet mother would not leave any of her 7 children behind. As a result, she suffered 3rd degree burns over most of her body and she survived that! .She is now 84 ,and has beat cancer twice (breast &lung). In my eyes I will never find a better hero! Mom is my world, I pour my heart and soul into making her proud in what I do and helping her with her fund raising to beat cancer. One month after mom was diagnosed, my older sister was diagnosed with breast cancer also. She too is a cancer survivor. PRAISE GOD!

NEXT is our soup/sandwich supper THIS SATURDAY the 17th from 11 AM - 6 PM There will be lots of door prizes
given away. Also a CRAFT/BAKE SALE will be there.
Also we are selling raffle tickets for one of the PINK afghans. This tickets are $1 each or 6/$5 the drawing will be held June 12th the night of our Relay for LIFE. Call us we will get tickets to you if your interested.
